T-N-T Tuesday! Circle Punch and Paper Flowers!

Happy Technique-N-Tool Tuesday and
Happy Mother's Day!

Last weekend I saw a really cool way to make a paper flower & modified it a little to use our new Close To My Heart 1 1/2 inch Circle Punch. (Thanks, Veronica!)

Step 1: Punch out 8 circles from your favorite background and texture (patterned) paper!

Step 2:  Holding all the 8 circles together in a stack, use your piercing tool to create a hole through the middle and insert/set your brad!

Step 3:  Starting with the top circle, scrunch up your paper circle and continue scrunching each circle below it.  When you are done, mash the papers down a little and rotate circles to get the desired look you want to your flower.

Step 4: Creating Leaves.  Using your Circle Punch, punch out one circle.  Then punch out a portion of the circle creating the leaves.

Step 5:  Use your bone folder to create a crease down the middle of each leaf and fold in half.  Ink the fold and edges to create definition.  You can also distress the flower edges, too!

Step 6:  Assemble your flower as desired to create a BEAUTIFUL card!  When you create a flower like this for a card, you will probably want to hand deliver it or include as part of a package because of the bulk of the flower.  The technique is great for tags, too!
