Oh my goodness. I can't believe I haven't blogged in almost 2 weeks and have not done my TNT Tuesdays! "What's up?" you say?
Hmmm - well, I would like to hope that most of you are just like me. Life just gets busy & while I would love to have the energy to craft every spare moment I have, it's just not possible. Truthfully, I have been VERY busy crafting, but it's a secret.
I am really getting excited to head to Washington D.C. in a few short weeks for our annual Close To My Heart Convention and so I've been making team and roomie goodies as well as preparing for my July events & swaps among other things, so while I really want to show you, I just can't... yet! I promise I will share when I get back.
Here is one card project I CAN show you that my card club did last week. The tool I taught was how to use our Edge Distressor. To use the tool, just rub the blade edges along the paper to rough it up. You have to be careful because you really can cut the paper if you're not careful. I also taught them Paper Piecing using our versatile 'A Twinkle' stamp set. If you click on the link, you'll see what I'm talking about. Essentially you stamp your image (the large star) on several different colors of cardstock & then cut out just the parts you want to use to build your complete image.
This card uses patterned B&T paper from Cherry O and I added the Moonstruck and Honey cardstock to make it a patriotic card that you wouldn't expect to see from this 'girly' paper. I also used our natural hemp.
Cute!!!
